[FFXIV Guide] Easter Event: Hatching-tide 2014
First of all: I wish you all a Happy Easter! I hope you all enjoyed the small easter holiday together with your family. ^_^Even the people in Eorzea took their time to celebrate. The currently running easter event in FFXIV is called "Hatching-tide" and it couldn't be a better time to talk about it, right?!
All the main cities are decorated with giant (and small) eggs. The whole event is featuring a total of 4 parts, which got unlocked a couple days after each other (same than in the previous Lightning event).
To start the quest line the player has to talk to a NPC in Limsa Lominsa (Upper Decks) and will have to finish several tasks. You mostly have to find another player and wear different kinds of easter hats that you could get by finishing the quests or by buying them at the merchant for just a couple of gil. While wearing them, your task is to deliver a specific easter egg to another place without getting caught by Spriggans. For the last part you will need a total of 4 players with each of you wearing a different egg-hat. You also got the chance to farm some eggs that have little surprises inside of them by farming Coddled Spriggans all around Eorzea. I have to say that I am not a big fan of this event. Because I didn't have much time at start I had a really hard time finding players to finish it (big thanks to Shuu Naranol who helped me getting most of the parts done!). The hats are funny though and you can even store them in your Armoury Chest!
